Boy given jail term for burglary
Home Insurance News - Published: 27/11/2008

The 16-year-old pleaded guilty at Maidenhead youth court to illegally entering a house in Finchampstead and stealing televisions, games consoles, jewellery and a laptop.
Six other offences were taken into consideration - five of which involved stealing car keys during a burglary and then taking the victim's car.
Commenting on the outcome of the case, Detective Constable Ali Bagshaw of Lodden Valley CID said: "We have seen a significant decrease in burglaries in the Finchampstead area since this boy was arrested, so this is a good result for residents in the area."
He added the conviction demonstrated that offenders would not be let off lightly by the criminal justice system.
Elsewhere an initiative involving five police forces in the midlands has resulted in the arrest of 30 burglary suspects.
