Online tool 'will help van buyers go green'
Van Insurance News - Published: 02/12/2008

The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) has uploaded a carbon tool onto its website.
It stated this will allow van buyers to compare the emissions of a variety of vehicles.
The group explained manufacturers have agreed to publish data on CO2 emissions, but this will not happen until later in 2009.
In response, BVRLA - which has been campaigning on the issue for a year - has decided to produce its own guide.
Commenting on the CO2 emissions tool, head of legal services Jay Parmer said: "We hope this online tool will fill some of the information vacuum faced by UK van buyers."
In other news, BVRLA recently claimed the temporary 2.5 per cent VAT reduction announced in Alistair Darling's pre-Budget report will provide a multi-million-pound boost to the vehicle rental and leasing industry.
