Ford could be good choice for van insurance customers
In news that may impress van insurance customers, Ford has just been named the number one light commercial vehicle (LCV) maker in the UK.

The company has just scooped the title of Van Manufacturer of the Year at the Fleet Van Awards.

Steve Kimber, commercial vehicle director at Ford, expressed delight at the accolade.

He stated the manufacturer's determination to keep evolving its range of vehicles must have paid off.

Mr Kimber added: "We know that Ford vans are famed for their reliability and cost of ownership - and to have this recognised by real users is always rewarding."

The decision of the judges was based on a poll by Fleet News, which rated the performance of more than 169,000 vans.

Earlier this year, Ford reported it had performed well in the MPG Marathon - with Transit vans claiming first and second place - after recording best-in-class fuel consumption and lowest cost per mile.
