According to the group, from the beginning of next year, it is introducing an updated company car policy intended to provide a more efficient and economical vehicle fleet for workers to use.
This comes after the UK became the first country to sign a legally-binding target of reducing carbon emissions by 26 per cent by 2020.
Richard Foulerton from Allianz Insurance said: "We estimate that our new company car fleet will help to reduce the current CO2 emissions of our workforce by up to 13 per cent each year."
He added the initiative should also assist in cutting costs in terms of road tax and fuel for its employees and the company.
In other news, Allianz Legal Protection recently announced it had appointed Susan Leach as after-the-event claims controller.
