Police may have helped Haworth residents avoid home insurance claims

The Bingley and Worth Valley neighbourhood police team (NPT) reported break-ins in Haworth between October and December 2008 was limited to three.
Officers from the NPT put their success down to efforts to improve the security of vulnerable properties and extra patrolling in crime hotspots.
They said they were delighted with the results of their operation, as there is generally an increase in burglaries during winter months.
Sergeant Wheeler from the team said: "We are pleased that our work in the area has ensured that crime has remained low, with only three house burglaries in three months."
Officers revealed their intention to build on this success in 2009.
Meanwhile, West Yorkshire police recently urged people in the county to make it their new year's resolution to improve the security on their homes.
