Simple job could prevent a car insurance claim
Drivers keen to avoid a car insurance claim or expensive repair bills may do well to take on board advice from Car Parts Direct.

The company has claimed a growing number of motorists could experience problems with their suspension as a result of the increasing use of speed bumps on UK roads.

It suggested drivers keen to prevent damage can carry out a simple DIY task to protect their vehicles.

The firm explained adding rubbers to suspension coil springs can be an effective way to keep cars running smoothly.

It also pointed out the job can be completed in about 20 minutes and generally costs approximately £35.

Furthermore, Car Parts Direct has produced an online video to talk motorists through the procedure.

Spokesperson Mark Cornwall said it was a sensible measure to take as "it appears speed bumps are here to stay".

In other news, Car Parts Direct recently warned motorists their car insurance may be invalidated if their vehicle is not considered roadworthy.
