British car insurance holders 'need to learn how to drive in snow'
Car Insurance News - Published: 09/02/2009

The Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) issued this warning following predictions of more snow to come later this week.
Chief examiner Peter Rodger said many of the problems experienced so far during the cold snap were the result of Brits being unused to driving in Arctic conditions.
He stated: "We'll make a better job of getting where we want to go by car this week if everyone prepares themselves and their vehicles for the journey."
According to IAM, motorists should allow plenty of time for trips in the snow and opt for routes on major roads, avoiding steep hills wherever possible.
In other news, the group recently claimed the widespread adoption of Intelligent Speed Adaptation could cut the number of driving-related deaths and injuries by up to 29 per cent.
