Safety system 'can prevent accidents'
Car Insurance News - Published: 20/02/2009

According to the manufacturer Bosch, the system can help motorists avoid skidding.
It stated some 80 per cent of crashes which involve vehicles losing grip could be avoided if this technology was in place.
Figures from the company revealed in the first half of 2008, some 56 per cent of new motors bought in the UK featured the safety device.
However, this fell to 13 per cent in the small car sector.
Werner Struth from Bosch said all vehicles should be equipped with the innovation.
He stated: "Buyers should ... be sure to ask for the safety system as an optional feature if it is not already on board as standard equipment."
People who opt for models which come with plenty of safety measures in place may find they qualify for cheaper car insurance.
