Car insurance news: Nissan GT-R tops poll
The Nissan GT-R has topped a poll to find the MSN Car of the Year.

Some 29 per cent of voters and car insurance customers chose this model, which is a four-wheel-drive sports vehicle and one of the most "eye-catching" on the current market, according to MSN Cars content manager Tom Evans.

Over 80,000 people gave their opinions in the survey – a figure demonstrating the nation's desire for beautiful and technologically superior motors, Mr Evans added.

"Britain's passion and drive for the world's most well-crafted supercars continues," he concluded.

In second place was the Jaguar XF, which garnered 12 per cent of the votes, followed by the Ferrari California with 11 per cent.

Previous winners include the Audi R8, Aston Martin DB9 and the BMW 3-Series Coupe.

However, the Ford Fiesta also made it into this year's top ten, suggesting that good cars do not have to be overly expensive. Drivers may find that a smaller motor can result in reduced premiums.
