Tayside police campaign could cut car insurance claims
Car Insurance News - Published: 02/03/2009

The force revealed it conducted a 24-hour crackdown on a variety of motoring offences last Friday in a bid to remind drivers about the importance of road safety.
In particular, officers were focusing on stopping people for failing to wear a seatbelt, speeding and using a mobile phone while at the wheel.
Chief Inspector Sandy Bowman said earlier campaigns had contributed to a reduction in fatalities across Scotland.
He warned that people who speed and do not wear seatbelts are at a significantly higher risk of being killed or seriously injured should they be involved in an accident.
Mr Bowman added: "If you use a mobile phone when driving then you are much less able to maintain concentration and retain full control of your vehicle."
In other news, Tayside police announced they were running a series of sessions to help parents fit car seats correctly.
